[After making a mess in the kitchen, Mabel just sighs in defeat]

What's a girl have to do around here to make sure someone else eats? There's nothing here I tell you!

[She said before looking back at Yuzu] How do you even live?

[ Yuzu sighs. Living, huh? It felt easier before, well, everything. ]

I... manage.

[ Not exactly the best answer. ]

Listen... I appreciate that you came here and still want to be friends...

[ Even if she doesn't feel like she deserves it. ]

But I need... I need some time. Besides...

[ She remembers Mabel's earlier distance. ]

...you're still scared of me, right?

[meowbel]

Of course I am.

[She didn't mean to be so blunt but it was true. She was still scared of her friend despite how much she was trying to help.] I just don't want you to get sick or let yourself become too sad.

[Then there was a pause. Should Mabel tell her? She wasn't sure if it was the same but the feeling of knowing how you messed up? It was mutual.]

Because I know it's not easy having all that guilty up inside. It's really not a nice feeling.

[ Yuzu looks down. It certainly isn't... but how could she not feel this guilty? She knows what she did, and the weight of that guilt feels like it'll crush her. ]

Then what am I supposed to do...? After what I did...

[For a moment, Mabel didn't know what to say. This was something she struggled with herself before giving a small smile.]

Then just keep being you. At least, that's what I would say to myself.

[ Be... herself? ]

I'm not sure...

[ She's not even sure if she fully likes "herself" anymore. ]

[You see that? That is the smile of a girl who very clearly has something on her mind!]

You know! Go out and have some fun! Kind of like having a little sweater drive and making sure people are happier around you!

[ Oh yeah... she did see a post about that. ]

Yup! All you have to do is just help me get yarn and knit some sweaters! It'll be fun, I think you'll enjoy it!

I've never really knitted before...

[ She's not opposed to the idea... but should someone like her really be in something like that? ]

So? I'll teach you! It's not that hard once you get the hang of it! C'mon, what to do you say? Are you in or are you in?

[ Yuzu looks down for a moment. To be honest, she just wants to crawl into her room and isolate herself, a murderer, from others... but Mabel is saying to try being herself. ]

Are... are you sure you want me for it?

[meowbel]

Of course! I wouldn't have asked if you I didn't want you on the team! And besides...!

[She said with a pause]

I think you'll be perfect for the job! I'm sure you know a thing or two about fashion.

[songstressedout]

[ She stares at Mabel for a moment, wide-eyed. Wanting to stay friends was one thing, but still asking Yuzu to be there for something—anything...

Her breath turns shaky and the tears start to form. ]

Thanks... [ She says, trying to wipe away the quickly-forming moisture in her eyes. ] I'll... I'll be there...

[ Annnnd the waterworks are here. ]

[meowbel]

[That wasn’t the reaction Mabel was expecting! She was suppose to be happy, not sad!]

What’s worth that look for? Are you just so happy you’re crying tears of joy?

[Pause] Because I really hope they are!

[songstressedout]

[ She laughs a bit at that. ]

I-I'm fine... I just... I don't deserve someone like you...

[ She's still sad, but the tears evidently aren't because of that. If anything, Mabel's cheered her up, even if only a little bit. ]

[meowbel]

Nonsense! Everyone deserves a good friend whose got their back!

[She said before gesturing at the door] Now c'mon, I need to get something for you to eat before we start this sweater drive! I can't have you go around being hungry.

E-Eh?

[ Go outside...? Yuzu feels a sense of nervousness she hasn't felt in a long time. Still, she may as well let Mabel drag her around. It's the least she can do. ]

Um... okay...

[ Her hair is down and in a bit of a mess, so she does try to comb down the places where it's sticking out with her hands. ]

[meowbel]

[As Mabel looked at Yuzu, she leaned in a little before pointing toward the bathroom]

Ehhhh on second thought? Maybe we better have you cleaned up first. I think you could use a little make over before we head outside.

[Again, she didn't want to get any closer to Yuzu but she could offer a few suggestions] I'd say we put your hair in a ponytail and add some flowers to it! I think you'll look cute!

A make over?

[ Well that's sudden... a make over? She's not opposed to the idea, but the ideas are a little new to her. Maybe it's because one of her counterparts wore their hair in a single ponytail, but Yuzu had never been able to imagine herself with that kind of hairstyle. ]

If you say so... though I don't have any flowers or anything like that.

[ In any case, she makes her way to the bathroom. She can't expect Mabel to do more than provide suggestions, considering the fear she knows Mabel has of her... but she can try. So, she starts to work on her hair. ]

[meowbel]

[As Mabel stared at her from a distance in the bathroom, all she could do was look at her before giving a small pout. So far, Yuzu looked like she was taking her suggestion seriously.

The moment she saw her in that ponytail?]

Then we'll find some on the ground because I'd say you look perfect! And I bet it would even make a certain boy happy to see you...!

[songstressedout]

[ At that, Yuzu suddenly stumbled in the bathroom. ]

W-What boy!?

[ Her face was red, but she realized suddenly that her voice was raised and quickly receded back into tying her hair up. ]

[meowbel]

You know. That boy.

[Oh good, Mabel managed to get a reaction out of her that wasn't sad! That's a start!]

A certain boy with green and red hair?

[songstressedout]

[ Oh god she knows exactly who Mabel is talking about. ]

W-Why would h-he be happy a-about that w-we're just friends and I mean sure he's really important tomebutthatdoesn'tproveanything—

[ She's suddenly trying to hide her face. ]

[She said with a look] And obviously friends talk about other friends like that, shouldn't they?
