You ever had someone whom you really care to just disappear on you?

Guess who that happened to just now?

[ ...she might know what Mabel is talking about.

Mostly because she knows that there was another Yuzu here in Ryslig before, and then she just vanished one day, and then a few years later... this Yuzu showed up. ]

Oh, Mabel...

Who... I mean, what happened?

My brother's gone. I don't really know how to feel about it.

[Because as much as she wanted to have him around, it was probably for the better that he left. However, that didn't stop her from feeling a little lonely right now.]

Oh, Mabel...

...hold on, I'm coming over.

I might look a little different but...

[ Yuzu wastes no time in leaving Hill House and taking to the skies. She's on her way. ]

But? What do you mean?

[Of course, Mabel wasn’t really expecting a response. As she waited for her to say something, she rushed over to the door waiting for her friend.]

[ It doesn't take long. Yuzu's much better at flying now, and harpies can fly fast. The sound of the wind picking up can be heard as Yuzu flaps her wings, landing just at the door before knocking. ]

Mabel, it's me...

[ Here's Yuzu... as a harpy. ]

[Just as Mabel felt a gust of wind by the door, she let out a loud gasp as she saw who it was.]

Whoa, Yuzu, what happened to you? When did you get all bird and feathery like anyway?

[She said as she approached closer before attempting to narrow her eyes. As she looked at her friend's new form, she gave a small hum.]

[ She smiles nervously, coming closer as well. ]

Just recently... being a Shade was terrible, but at least now...

[ She spreads her arms (and wings by extension) in an open manner.

She can hug without needing to focus so much on just staying solid. ]

[Mabel didn't argue against the hug. In fact, she welcomed it as walked closer to embrace the older girl. She didn't say anything for a moment before giving a small sigh.]

You ever get that weird complicated feeling where you're both happy and sad? I think I'm just sadpy right now.

[She mumbled before a small frown appeared. There were a lot of complicated feelings and she didn't know how to feel at the moment. She just wanted a hug and have someone tell her things were going to be okay.]

[ She holds her tight, which is nice with all of the soft feathers. God, she knows just what that complicated feeling is like... especially with everything that's happened here in Ryslig. ]

Yeah... I do, but...

[ She sort of... puts a hand on the back of Mabel's head and continues to hug her. ]

Things are going to be okay...

[ Still, the thought of people just... vanishing unnerves her. Especially since it's apparently happened to her in the past... and instead of coming back, a new 'Yuzu' just appeared.

Right now, though, she just wants Mabel to know that she's here. ]

[Yuya grumbles as he over looks the rather small sachet within his hands. He didn’t have a job, he had to rely on Crash of all people to help him pay for it even.

But he did it- and it’s pretty if he does say so himself... still he wishes that the chocolate he had tried and failed to make turned out better... buying chocolate almost feels like cheating...

Yuya let’s out a small chuckle before heading out of his room. Though he realizes right after... he has no idea if Yuzu is even in her room.

He hums in thought, he almost wishes he had more energy to just belt out her name like he used to... but he settles on just knocking on her door, unsure if she’s even there.]

Yuzu? A-are you there?

[ Yuzu in fact is in her room, currently looking at the bright-red sparkly dress she had just recently splurged her funds on. She'd tried it on at the store, and it fit her perfectly... even working well with her being a Harpy. It was tight to her frame, but it was able to flow neatly even past her feathers... and it was sleeveless, just the way she liked it.

Though... she wasn't sure if she was ever going to use it—Oh, Yuya was at the door. ]

Ah, yes...

[ She's up quickly, opening the door to see him there. ]

Hey, Yuya!

[ Her face brightens... just seeing him was enough to make everything so much better, honestly. ]

[Mabel didn't say anything at first as she kept looking at the ground. She knew that things were okay because it just had to. She didn't have much of a choice as it was her only way to deal with it all.]

I hope so because I had enough.

[She said with a sigh.]

There's only so much I can do when everything around me seems like total poo poo! Nothing seems like it's going right and I don't even know how I'm suppose to handle it all!

[She really didn't want to think so negatively but right now, she will allow herself to do this. Just this once.]

I know...

[ She squeezes a little tighter. This kind of feeling... she understands it, having been in this kind of situation more times than Yuzu would have liked.

She'll stay like this as long as Mabel wants. ]

[Well now he REALLY feels like he should have gotten her something more. He looks at the tiny little bag in his hands with a pout. And then quickly shoves it into Yuzu's hands.]

H-happy white day- I... I couldn't get anything else...

[If he were still a goblin, those ears of his would be drooping... And those wings would be buzzing. But now, all Yuzu has for an indicator is... Regular Yuya... Which may be harder to read.]

[ Yuzu blinks a bit in surprise. Oh, right, it was White Day today... wasn't it?

He'd... remembered...

Yuya may not have any physical tells about his mood at the moment... but Yuzu does, in the form of her tail and plumage, which is now rapidly swaying back and forth. Kind of like a dog, funnily... even though she's a bird, her tail is still doing this, and it's fairly noticeable as well.

Yes, she was very happy. ]

Oh, Yuya...

[ She takes the bag gratefully, holding it to her chest. ]

Thank you...

[ She smiles at him, her mood having skyrocketed. ]

[Mabel didn't know what to say. As she gave a sigh, she just found herself at a loss of words. Mumbling to herself, she looked down at the ground and wondered what else she could do.

There was so much negativity, how can she handle it?]

Sorry, I didn't mean to be all gross and ugly like that. It's just not a very nice feeling and I'm really not use to it.

Don't worry, it's fine...

[ Always... it'll always be fine. Still, she's hugged for a while now... maybe there's something else she can do to maybe make her feel a little better? ]

...Hey, I've only recently become a Harpy, so... a lot of my wardrobe needs to get sorted out, y'know? Do you maybe wanna...

[ Help her out, maybe? Honestly, anything would be fine... maybe even some more help learning how to knit. She still has the sweater Mabel gave her for Christmas, but now that she's a Harpy... to be honest, long sleeves kind of get in the way of her wings. Not that she minds, though! She still treasures it...

I-In any case... shopping trip? ]

Y-you're welcome...

[He tries to hide the fact that he's blushing... badly. And then his eyes are drawn to Yuzu's tail feathers swishing back and forth. He blinks and hums.]

Do birds... usually wag their tail?

E-Eh!? They're what!?

[ Her face flushes as she reaches behind her to try and stop her tail feathers... which fails miserably, they're still visibly swishing. ]

N-No... they aren't supposed to... I don't think...? Ahaha...

[ Oh god, it's swishing faster now... she may as well just have a neon sign flashing above her head telling everyone just how happy she is about this. ]

[Must be like his wing thing when he was a goblin...]

I think I get it... [He laughs nervously, because what he's about to say is embarrassing, but-] I-it's kinda cute...

C-Cute!?

[ Well, with that her face is as pink as her feathers, and her tail feathers speed up yet again... which might be causing a small updraft to form around her. ]

T-Thank you...

[The draft tickles his nose, and he feels the need to sneeze but he holds on to it. A yawn escaping his mouth instead.]

No problem!

[It's said with a smile, but over all it's easy to tell the boy is tired. Which is odd considering he hasn't done much today.]

Yuzu, my little songbird.

Care to tell me why you let a girl dressed as a sad mime tear you down like that? On television, no less?
